How You Rig an OR12 Board
Hooking the fishing line to the OR12 so it travels out to the side of the boat works like this:
-
Line to Front Release (OR19):
-
Wrap the fishing line into the OR19 release on the tow arm of the board.
-
You can use a few twists of monofilament line to make it hold securely. Offshore Tackle+1

-
Optional Back Clip (OR16):
-
Place the line behind the plastic pin on the OR16 Snap Weight Clip on the back of the board.
-
This locks the board fixed on the line so it won’t slide back easily. Offshore Tackle
✔️ Some anglers rig both releases for a “fixed board” setup (common for walleye).
✔️ Others rig for release & slide — meaning the board will slide back down the line when tripped. This helps avoid tangles when you pull in lines with multiple boards out. -
