Are you a seasoned angler, or just getting into the trolling game? The OR38 Mini Board is a fantastic tool that helps put more fish in the boat. Whether you fish for panfish, walleye, salmon or trout, there is an application for this little gem! This light weight, reversible, mini planer board performs amazingly well in many trolling applications where a larger board isn’t necessary.
The OR38 Mini Board shines in many situations, such as in shallow water, when running short leads, trolling among the weeds, fishing in the presence of small panfish or off the bank of a river to position a bait for salmon or steelhead. The OR38 can even be trolled using a kayak! Aside from being versatile, what I enjoy most about the OR38 is its ability to telegraph bites from the smallest panfish all the way to the biggest game fish.
The OR38 can be fished using conventional trolling setups, but many anglers opt to use spinning tackle! While targeting walleye in the weeds, I consider the OR38 to be a moving bobber/strike indicator. The OR38 makes it very easy to see if your bait is making contact with the weeds and also telegraphs when a fish has been hooked.
